Silaba is an internationally known dance group that has performed at several festivals around the globe. The dancers and musiciens of the group will guide you to the secrets of african arts.
We'll be dancing both djembe- and sabar rhythms and music-lovers can learn to play the percussions, kora and balafone. We'll be working six hours daily from monday to friday, dance in the mornings and music in the evenings. The weekends are reserved for discovering Dakar and the regions nearby.

We'll be living at the village of Ngor, by the beach. A taxi to Dakar takes around 30 minutes and costs a few euros. The more adventurous ones can try the local bus or car rapide; a much slower but a lot more interesting option.
From the beach it takes a few minutes by boat to the isle of Ngor, an excellent place for swimming and relaxing.
Those interested in surfing find the best spots of Senegal at walking distance. We can organize boards and surf lessons for a fee of 10 000 cfa/ 15 000 cfa per day.
Nearby are also some of the most popular nightclubs of Dakar where you can keep on dancing until the dawn!
